2011 is all about the ladies. New voices and old ones are back to have us on the dance floor all night long. Pure pop perfection is what these ladies do best so I hope they wont dissapoint.
Aubrey O' Day is back and poised for a comeback. with her single "Automatic" and reality show aptly titled "All About Aubrey" on the Oxygen Network. It has been about two years since Danity Kane broke up and fans have been eagerly awaiting her solo stint. With a sexy club sound the singer sounds amazing and stronger then ever on tracks she previewed this winter. For all the DK lovers there is even a song with Andrea Firmbes called "Ego Trippin" about their DJ ex boyfriends. Looking forward to a year all about Aubrey.
Kim Kardashian...who knew?? Out of left field Kim Kardashian will be releasing music this Spring as well. Collaborating with heavy weights like The Dream and Kanye she has already filmed the video and gave the crowd at Tao in Vegas a sneak peak. Now this could go really well (Tyra Banks) or really well. (I guess Paris Hilton??) With her fame, beauty, big names and a big ass backing her i doubt she will fail. Watch out J.Lo
Britney Spears is back and is ready to claim her throne. After a huge hit in 2010 with "3" the pop princess is fixing her weave and getting ready for another number one with "Hold It Against Me" which will be released in January with the album to be released in March. There already has been much critically aclaimed buzz about the first single, which is supposedly a new sound for Britney. As long as I am sweating on the dance floor I don't care what sound it is!
Lady Gaga. Everyone's favorite bad bitch is back on the block. Announcing world domination for her and her little monsters in 2011 the singer is back with "Born This Way" Her first single off the album of the same name. The song comes out in February with the album following in May. I'm not going to lie. I am a little nervous. For someone so successful it almost seems impossible for her to top herself. Not to mention there have been rumblings of "rock infusion" on this album. Hopefully she pulls it off and has everyone on their feet again but a word of advice if she's reading Gay Gay just stick to what you know which is a bangin beat, a swooping chorus and crazy get ups!
Avril Lavigne everyone's favorite punk girl is back after a very long break and a very public break up. Believe it or not there hasn't been an Avril album since 2007. With her new song "What The Hell" just released I am sure she is hoping for a smash. The song is catchy and upbeat and for once she's not angry. Hopefully with a lil beefing up of her image and getting rid of the pink highlights she can have all the success she once had. The album "Goodbye Lullaby" is slated for a March 8th release but with it being pushed back so many times will it ever see the light of day?
