Craic Carpet Recap: 2012 Met Ball!

Fashions biggest night hit New York City yesterday and the city was all a buzz! The 2012 Met Ball held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art brought out the who's who of Hollywood...but I have to say as opposed to years past..the fashion kind of dull. While star appeal wasn't a problem, it's like every ones stylists were asleep at the wheel. A lot of the ladies looked pretty..but also looked pretty safe. However GCB's Leslie Bibb looked stunning and easily stole the show in a midnight blue Zac Posen ball gown and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Also on the best dressed was every ones favorite bombshell Sofia Vergara in a gorgeous and delicate Marchesa dress, Casadei crystal pumps and Harry Winston jewels. It was sexy, understated and just the right amount of high fashion without making a mockery of the night. Now...on to what you really want; the worst dressed! The usual stunning Beyonce disappointed in an awful see through lace and feather dress from Givenchy Haute Couture. I get it, she is trying to show off her post baby body (you know because she gained all that weight carrying her own child and everything...................) but this was not the way to do it. On top of it a dress like that needs a little drama, the understated hear, minimal makeup and lack of jewels made absolutely no sense. From over the top to Little House My Husband is Sleeping With the Nanny we have Sarah Jessica Parker. Now I love my SJP but I don't know what is going on with her lately! The usual chic starlet is dressing as frumpy as ever. In a Valentiono dress, Manilo Blahnik shoes and some tacky Fred Leighton jewels the star got it all wrong!  Check out some of the other celebs in attendance like Leighton Meester, Gwenyth Paltrow, Ginnifer Goodwin, Amber Heard, Chloe Sevigny, Diane Argon, Scarlett Johansson, Cristina Ricci, Rihanna, Elizabeth Banks and Kristen Stewart.
