So I have been watching Ugly Betty again, trying to figure out how to become Marc St. James and it has totally inspired me. If you are a fan of the show you know that she is notorious for mix prints, colors and has an all across the board wild style. With that said, it wasn't all bad. If you took away a couple of things..it would make for a really chic ensemble. So if you want to stand out and have a unique style to call your own, try mixing prints and patterns. The key is to keep the colors within those prints in the same family. Look at the above looks for inspiration and if those aren't enough look to your favorite celebs like Olivia Palermo, Kelly Osbourne, Diane Kruger and Rihanna for tips.
A NYC native, Scotty caught the fashion bug early working for major retailers throughout New York. With over ten years in visual merchandising and styling there was no doubt that fashion is where he was meant to be. After a break from the retail end he really began to focus on styling as much as possible. Constantly reading and learning as much as he can about the ever changing billion dollar industry. At 27, he is currently the manager of a boutique in Chelsea where he is able to harness all the skills he has learned throughout the years such as buying, merchandising, administrative work and selling. No matter the subject, Scotty is never afraid to voice his opinion.
