I am a music whore. There I said it. I tend to lean toward the more club friendly dance anthems. I mean don't get me wrong I love artists like Sara Bareilles, The Sundays, Dangerous Muse and so many more those are the artists that I listen to for a good nights sleep. Now this post is dedicated to what you should be listening to for a good time, what you should be playing at house parties and what you should recognize at the bars and clubs...at least before Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Beyonce' and Jennifer Lopez take over when they drop their albums later this year.
Ke$ha - "Warrior"
Everyone's favorite trashy pop star is back and better then ever. Part Britney Spears at the gas station with cheetos, part black version of Nicki Minaj...the girl is fire. While she might not get as much radio play as she did with previous singles; there are gems on this album that you cannot get out of your head and are definitely worth a listen!

"Crazy Kids"
"All That Matters" (The Beautiful Life)
"Thinking of You"
Calvin Harris - "18 Months"
Move over David Guetta, 2013 is all about Harris. Calvin Harris has been around for years and has kind of been Guetta's red headed step child. He has had so many amazing singles like Rihanna's "We Found Love" abut has never been given the recognition by mainstream media that he deserves. With his new single "Sweet Nothing" featuring Florence he will be unstoppable. Take a listen to some other amazing tracks off "18 Months"

"We'll Be Coming Back" (feat. Example)
Cheryl Cole - "A Million Lights"
The UK sensation has been trying to breakthrough into the American market for quite some time and just can't seem to push past all the already famous pop stars. After a failed stint on X Factor last season she has returned to the girl group Girls Aloud. I believe being back with them while simultaneously promoting her solo venture she can break through. Give her a shot for pure infectious pop

Chris Wallace - Push Rewind
After leaving popular American band White Tie Affair front man Chris Wallace is ready to take the spotlight all on his own. His first solo effort, is pop gold; made for summer days and nights just driving around and goofing off with friends. With lead single "Remember When" (Push Rewind) getting major radio play and climbing up the charts you will definitely hear more from here so jump on the ban waggon before everyone else does!

"Remember When" (Push Rewind)
"Hurricane"
"Timebomb" (Walk Away)
Christina Aguilera - "Lotus"
If everyone just stopped talking about her weight and listened to her music the world would be a happier place. While I too am guilty of Christina bashing (because of her awful clothing and styling) once I listened to this album I shut up...quick. No concept, no gimmicks, just great pop music. If you have let her image deter you take another look!
Check out:
"Let There Be Love"
"Just A Fool"
"Army of Me"
"Blank Page"
Ellie Goulding - Halycon
While her songs might not exactly be club friendly, her lyrics cut like a knife and add so much meaning that you just sing along anyway. With her smash hit "Lights" behind her the world is starting to want more and this 17 track album delivers! There is no doubt that "Anything Can Happen" was on every one's New Years play list whether or not you prefer Fifth Harmony's X Factor version. Look out for her this year..it's the quiet ones you have to look out for.

"Anything Can Happen"
"Only You"
"In My City"
"I Need Your Love"
The Wanted - "Battleground"
If the fluffy One Direction makes you gag, try The Wanted on for size. The rough around the edges boy band gives an edgier flare to boy band pop. The UK band is already huge overseas and certainly making a name for themselves here in the states. Their new album is slated for a February release featuring collaborations from LMAO, Pitbull and Rita Ora. Look out One Direction..
