Eva Longoria: Lean at Letterman

Eva Longoria looks stunning at the taping for David Letterman where she is promoting the series finale of  Desperate Housewives. In a slinky Victoria Beckham cut out neck dress with contrasting back straps and zipper detail, the star certainly brings the va voom to the mean streets of NYC.  Don't even get me started on those shoes! Victoria Beckham should be sending her more dresses and a muffin basket as we speak with the press that she will get from this. Although, I am sure she doesn't need it, I am sure the $2,250.00 dress is flying off the shelves as I type. What do you think of Eva's late night look?

Craic'y Trend Report: Always A Bridesmaid..

With so many of my friends getting engaged lately...I thought what better time to put together a little bridesmaids piece. Not only is it one of my favorite movies, its also a hot topic for every wedding party. What will the bride make us wear?! Well brides listen up! Yes it is your day but don't you want your friends to look great too? They are a reflection of you after all. With that said, try to go for cuts that will flatter every body type. Chiffon is a great fabric to use for this, not only does it move beautifully when walking down the aisle, it can hide a lot of imperfections. Try to glam it up when putting your ladies together. Think of the first Sex and the City movie and how gorgeous Charlotte, Miranda ( I know even Miranda) and Samantha looked in their contrasting colored gowns. Tis the season! What do you think ladies?

Craic'y Trend Report: Feather Frenzy

CLICK THE PIC FOR A CLOSER LOOK
I absolutely love feathers...after a seeing one of Oscar De La Renta's gowns as young boy at The Museum of Natural History not only have i been infatuated with design..I also developed a feather fetish! The way they move on the body is just so eloquent and soft. It's almost magical. If you have been paying attention you may have noticed that in addition to a dark lip, feathers were all over the Met Ball on Monday night. While Beyonce got it totally wrong, Kate Bosworth got it so right in a custom Prada cocktail dress made of navy and bordeaux feathers. So before you go out there trying to replicate this emerging trend take a look at the four looks above to see how to do it right. Stick to neutral colors and clean lines so you don't look like a wild animal. What do you think...will you be rocking feathers this season?

Craic'y Trend Report: Collared Cutie

Sometimes showing a little less can go a long way! Take a look at this adorable new trend of collared dresses. Prim and proper doesn't have to mean stuffy though. Flirty cuts and colors keep you looking young and fresh. Take these four looks for example and for more ideas look to your favorite celebs like Lauren Conrad, Nicole Kidman, Naya Rivera and Diane Kruger. What do you think? Will you be buttoning up anytime soon?

Craic Carpet Recap: 2012 Met Ball!

Fashions biggest night hit New York City yesterday and the city was all a buzz! The 2012 Met Ball held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art brought out the who's who of Hollywood...but I have to say as opposed to years past..the fashion kind of dull. While star appeal wasn't a problem, it's like every ones stylists were asleep at the wheel. A lot of the ladies looked pretty..but also looked pretty safe. However GCB's Leslie Bibb looked stunning and easily stole the show in a midnight blue Zac Posen ball gown and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Also on the best dressed was every ones favorite bombshell Sofia Vergara in a gorgeous and delicate Marchesa dress, Casadei crystal pumps and Harry Winston jewels. It was sexy, understated and just the right amount of high fashion without making a mockery of the night. Now...on to what you really want; the worst dressed! The usual stunning Beyonce disappointed in an awful see through lace and feather dress from Givenchy Haute Couture. I get it, she is trying to show off her post baby body (you know because she gained all that weight carrying her own child and everything...................) but this was not the way to do it. On top of it a dress like that needs a little drama, the understated hear, minimal makeup and lack of jewels made absolutely no sense. From over the top to Little House My Husband is Sleeping With the Nanny we have Sarah Jessica Parker. Now I love my SJP but I don't know what is going on with her lately! The usual chic starlet is dressing as frumpy as ever. In a Valentiono dress, Manilo Blahnik shoes and some tacky Fred Leighton jewels the star got it all wrong!  Check out some of the other celebs in attendance like Leighton Meester, Gwenyth Paltrow, Ginnifer Goodwin, Amber Heard, Chloe Sevigny, Diane Argon, Scarlett Johansson, Cristina Ricci, Rihanna, Elizabeth Banks and Kristen Stewart.
