Julie Bowen Jumpsuit: Craic'y Good or Bad?!

On the red carpet Julie Bowen confessed that she thought her look was "dicey" What do you think?? I mean I would love this Catherine Malindrino jumpsuit for a premiere or a party but not for an award show...I mean maybe The MTV Awards or something but not SAG (no matter how unimportant it is) I just feel like she is trying to compete with Sofia Vergera and it usually winds up backfiring. The funny thing is that she doesn't have to compete. Have you seen her body!? It's amazing she has amazing arms. I wish I had those guns! You were nominated, worse yet you won! I think in a few years you'll look back and regret.
What do you think? Craic'y For it? Or Get the Craic Outta Here!

Craic Carpet Review: Screen Actors Guild

So the award season raged on last night with everyone's least favorite, The Screen Actor Guild Awards.... the SAG's...are a drag, which is why there was such an A-List celeb shortage. The stars that were there certainly didn't dissapoint. There were no major I am in love moments for me but there were plenty of what was she thinking moments..let's start there. Christina Hendricks is a beautiful woman and usually dresses so beautiful on the red carpet especially for her figure (take not Christina Aguilera) but last night in in L'Wren Scott this was not the case. She looked like a tranny lounging in her robe backstage. The entire look was just too harsh like my comments. Angie Harmon...why you were there? I don't even know and why you would show up in a dress that has been done to death a million times is even more puzzling. We have versions of this Monique Lhuillier dress on countless celebs like Sarah Jessica Parker, Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz  and done much better might I add. Not to mention, I feel like she is just too old for this gown. It feels like it belongs on someone much younger. Nicole Kidman wore a stunning black lace Nina Ricci dress with a gorgeous lace open back but mucked it up with a distracting necklace and leopard shoes. Now I am not trying to be picky but those two things ruined what could have been a Best Dressed nominee. At the Globes too she had a problem with her accesories. Pull it together girl! Although, on a side note, I have to say that botox is reallllly working for her. Now time for the Best Dressed! Mila Kunis looked cool and confident in Alexander McQueen,  even though she knew she would be losing to Melissa Leo. Amy Adams looked like a statue herself in Herve Leroux. The dress really showed off her toned body which was her best accesory opting just for a cocktail ring and dangly earrings. She looked so good it distracted people from the ackward speech co-star Mark Wahlberg gave while on stage with her. Glee star Diana Argon looked so pretty in a navy blue vintage Chanel. She looked elegant and youthful. I love that she has a sweet style of her own and sticks with it. She doesn't need to resort to wild red carpet antics for attention. Tina Fey finally got it right! The funny lady wore a red lace Oscar De La Renta dress off set by some major earrings. Best jewlery of the night! All in all kind of a snooze of a red carpet as well as the show itself. As the nude trend seems to continue I hope that the Oscar brings us some major color and sparkle. Get ready! The Academy Awards air on February 27th

January Jones Covers Up

January Jones giveth and then take it awayeth. After baring all in a skimpy Versace gown at the Golden Globes the Mad Men star goes for a more demure elgant look in Carolina Herrera. This is the first time the star has worn Carolina as she confessed on the red carpet. Classy, glamourous and exceptionally beautiful the perfect way for the star to redeem herself

Lea Michele is Pretty in Pink

Lea Michele continues to dazzle on the carpet with this gorgeous Oscar De La Renta blush colored gown. Continuing to show off some major cleavage the star looks pretty and playful. She knows what looks good on her and she knows its Oscar. She dazzled at the Globes two years in a row in the designers to die for concoctions. Unfortunately Lea and the rest of the cast of Glee lost to Modern Family for ensemble cast at The Screen Actor Guild Awards! Better luck next year Gleeks!

Eva Longoria Shows Some Skin..

Okay I knew this would happen after January Jones bared all in Versace at the Golden Globes. Everyone wants to show it all. Just like January Jones the proportions are all wrong on Eva Longoria's dress. If that hemline was an inch higher it would make her look so much longer. She is very petite and can benefit from some little tricks like that. I also think that the draping on her Georges Hobeika gown looks very sloppy. Not my favorite especially after how gorgeous she was at the Globes this was a let down. Womp womp!

Mila Kunis is Ravishing in Red!

See Khloe! I told you your Alexander McQueen dress needed a belt but you didn't listen! Mila Kunis takes a cue from Khloe Kardashian  (see here Craic Carpet Review: People's Choice) and Black Swan co star Natalie Portman by wearing this gorgeous pale pink, red and black floral printed gown to the 2011 Screen Actor Guild Awards in Hollywood. Absolutely stunning! Just be careful girl you don't want to pull a Christina Hendricks and lose your jewlery like she did at the Golden Globes. Kunis is wearing over $300,000 in Cartier Jewlery! Contender for Best Dressed of the night!

Hailee Steinfeld is Prada Pretty

Fourteen year old Hailee Steinfeld looks gorgeous at the Screen Actor Guild Awards in Los Angeles in Prada. The True Grit star brought a burst of color and fun to the carpet. Totally age appropriate! It reminds me of something that Drew Barrymore would wear..more carpet coverage to come!

Anne Hathaway's Red Carpet Stumble

Everyone has a bad day and stars are no exception. The usually chic' Anne Hathaway showed up to the screening of her new animated film Rio in this get up. I mean each piece is actually pretty fantastic on it's own but together just do not work! Rachel Zoe's pregnancy must be getting to her if this is how she is now dressing her clients. Hopefully she will pull it together in time for the Oscars which she hosts with cutie and nominee James Franco which airs February 27th. Watch the promo below!

Beef Up Basic Black!

CLICK THE PIC FOR A CLOSER LOOK

When in doubt, it's always go to black. The problem is sometimes we get stuck there. I myself find I wear a lot of black but as a New Yorker it is expected. Next time you feel fat or what have you and you throw on that black try to make it pop with some colorful accesories like the ones above. Also, if your friends are out snapping pics and tagging you remember that all black isn't always a good thing. It doesn't always read on camera. So remember to play with texture as well. Check out the bright beauty's above. All clothing and accesories are from Top Shop and shoes and bags are from Endless

Lea Michele: Cleavage Baring Cosmo Cover

Lea Michelle bares some serious sking for the March cover of Cosmpolitan magazine. I love it! When you have a smaller chest wearing something like that is sophisticated and sexy and keeps you looking like Coco. The Glee star will be performing at this weekends Super Bowl which is then followed by an all new Glee! Can't wait!...for Glee not the Super Bowl duh!

Throw A Craic Style Shopping Party!

Weather got ya down and you don't wanna go out? Tax return not here yet, so you can't go on a shopping spree?? Fear not! Why not invite your best gals over for a shopping party!? Every girl has things in her closet that are useless. They sit there and never get worn. How sad. Give it someone that will wear it, like a best friend and you'll get pleasure out of seeing it on them. It's like visiting a pet you had to give away. So how does it work? Call your best gals up and tell them to invite a couple of friends as well. Everyone brings about 5-10 items they no longer want and that are in excellent condition. (Please do not show up to your friends house with rags tsk tsk) Pop some champagne, pop in some SATC and start sharing. Now, if you and your friends are big ol label whores you can even charge for the the items. Set up a evite and have people start writing some of the articles they will be bringing to garner some serious interest. Let's face it ladies, one woman's trash is another woman's treasure!

Ellie Sab Delivers Hot Haute Couture!

CLICK THE PICS FOR A CLOSER LOOK

WOW! Out of all the collections that I have seen so far during Paris Fashion Week this one takes the cake. I am a sucker for classic glamour and Ellie Saab's Spring 2011 Collection is just that. Any stylist worth their salt should be pulling looks from this collection for the Oscars. I would die to see Nicole Kidman in one of the pale kiwi green gowns. Amy Adams porcelain skin would look amazing in the third dress in the third photo. Halle Berry basic in black but i would kill to see her body in the last piece. The collection is the perfect blend of sexy, pretty and edgy! I am just going to sit at my desk and stare a little longer..

Kate Hudson is Burberry Brilliant!

Kate Hudson looks rocker chic as she leaves Zuma Restaraunt in London last night. The pregnant star looked fabulous in a fur Burberry trench, leather skirt and peep toe satin pump. Kate has amazing style on and off the carpet as these photos prove. Her mom Goldie Hawn recently went on Oprah talking about how excited she was for the new addition to the family. For Kates look read an earlier post on fur (Furry Fashion) and head over to Top Shop for a leather pencil skirt just like the one above PU Bodycon Leather Skirt $70.00

Furry Fashion!

Let's be clear no animals were harmed in the making of this post! So PETA can calm down. You no longer have to be a hippie, a Russian Princess or Rachel Zoe to wear fur. There are some really chic ways to do it too. Bags, purses, coats and vests. Above are my favorite furry looks. When wearing fur do make an effort to go eclectic and a little vintage. It keeps the look feeling rich and one of a kind. Here is a tip look at what Kylie Minogue wore for the Tree Lighting and then do the opposite. You never want to look like you just skinned the animal then threw it on. All outerwear and clothing is from my fave site ASOS and shoes, jewlery and bags are from Endless

Wild for Wilde's Jewel Tones!

Jessica Alba wasn't the only one who knows how to turn heads. Olivia Wilde also attended the Vogue Dinner in Paris for Gucci designer Frida Giannini. The star, also in Gucci, wore a plunging jump suit with bright blues and greens and accented it with a purple clutch. I am really warming up to Ms. Wilde and this new trend on the carpet. I love that celebrities are starting to take risks with their choices, especially there accesories. Blake Lively made her purple Marchesa pop with turquoise jewels (Click here) Wilde was also seen at the what I am now calling horrific Armani Prive show in Paris earlier this week. Must be nice! Ja'dore Mi Amor!

Vanessa Replaces Britney for Candies!

Say goodbye to the days of Britney Spears airbrushing and hello to Vanessa Hudgens. The star has replaced the pop princess as spokeswoman for Candie's. With a vintage road trip vibe Hudgens actually looks pretty cute in the ads that hit the web today. If you are wondering if there is any bad blood between the two stars, that would be an unfortuante no. No cat fights here! Britney tweeted the Beastly star "So fun being a Candie's Girl! Look out for the @Candiesbrand pics of their new girl, Vanessa Hudgens!" The ads will hit major magazines like Seventeen and Cosmpolitan in March. So expect to see a lot of Hudgens come then, her two movies Beastly (also starring Neil Patrick Harris *swoon* and Mary Kate Olsen) and Sucker Punch (also starring Abbie Cornish and Emily Browning) also come out that month

Hot Pastel Eyes For Spring!

One of the hottest trend from the spring summer 2011 season is the pastel colored not only suits perfectly with the season but it can also brighten up your look. Green seems to be the main color so my advise is to just commit to it and throw on alot to make the statement. Remember that alow makeup is a girls best friend it can be your biggest enemy too. So if your gona do a colorful eye there will be no dark lip or strong cheek color!

Benefit has so many great products and the great thing about benefit is that they last for such a long time and packaging is super cute and girly , yes they are expensive but its a treat and you deserve it look I could easily spend $40 on one round of drinks so why not spend that hard earned cash on having amazing looking skin its all about prioritizing .

Always a Guest, Never A Bride..

For some the first thought when they are invited to a wedding is terror! The next thought is what am I going to wear?? You wan't to look fantastic while not totally outshining the bride. I mean there usually is an open bar and single groomsmen..am i right? I have gotten a lot of questions on what to wear to weddings especially since I know so many Italians and there is someone getting married every ten seconds. Take a look at these amazing dresses and one sexy pant suit from ASOS Sometimes you don't want to wear a dress but the thought of a suit seems so manly especially when so many men will already be wearing them. Here is the trick. Put a sexy bustier underneath a high sandal and some simple stunning jewlery and forget about the bride all eyes will be on you. Check out these amazin subtle classy shoes, bags and jewels from Endless that you will have forever. You want to invest in pieces that you will be able to use over and over. Never buy something for an ocassion (especially when you are obligated) that you will wear once! What's the point?! Buy something that you will want to wear again and again. Take two advil, a groomsmen home and call me in the morning!

Jessica Alba: Silver Sparkles in Paris!

Jessica Alba looks gorgeous at the Vogue Dinner in Paris, France last night. The star chose a Gucci dress, fitting since the dinner was for head designer Frida Giannini. Everything is working, the hair the makeup the accesories. That dress fits like a sophisticated second skin. I love the way Alba dresses always have. She is a fashion risk taker and just look how well it pays off! The star is taking it easy this year with only one movie slated for release; Spy Kids 4: All The Time in the World, which will be released in late August

Christian Louboutin's Classic With A Blue Twist.

I swear I heard "Take My Breath Away" playing when I saw this shoe! Jessica Simpson's version of course. This 6" pump is a classic with a twist. I love it! Blue is so hot and will be everywhere come spring,  so start ditching your black staples for shades of blue. This is certainly the shoe to do it in. The Christian Louboutin Mago Cap-Toe Two-Tone Pump is available at Neiman Marcus for $795.00

Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring 2011!

CLICK THE PICS FOR A CLOSER LOOK

Paris Fashion Week is in full effect now that Christian Dior  has shown. Head designer John Galliano premiered his collection yesterday and it is breathtaking. This is exactly what was missing from the Armani Prive show. Drawing inspiration from the 40's and 50's they show beautiful jackets and full skirts. Galliano is said to have been inspired by the freehand advertising posters of Rene' Gruau which he created for the house up until the 70's. Which is exactly what we got. Nothing groundbreaking as far as cut, this is all signature Dior. However, the colors made me thirsty!! Absolutely breathtaking!! I wonder if we will see any of these at the Oscars. With a little tweeking I am sure we will. I know I would love to see Anne Hathaway in the ninth look. That gorgeous icy beige and blue cowl neck encrusted dress would look amazing on her skin tone. Hats off to CD for an amaizing show and for reminding us that a little nod to vintage is always a good thing.

The Ten Things Every Woman Should Own!

You might think okay I have most of these, but I know a lot of people that don't and a lot of people that do and don't realize the value that these items can bring. So here are my top ten must have items that women should have in their wardrobe at all times and tips on when to wear them, how to wear them and the secret ways you can that you probably never thought of before

The Black Blazer
Don't just look at this item and think boring work attire. Think of it as a classy and sophisticated item that can be the perfect completer piece to your ensemble. It looks amazing with anything skirts, shorts, jeans and pants. Roll up the sleeves for a more casual look like this one from Net-A-Porter

The Lace Shirt
It's been around forever but it is a classic. It can give any ensemble the va va voom it needs. It's sexy borderline risque, but with the right accesories it can make you look ravishing and rich. Think Lisa from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She has one in every shade of pink and purple and always gets it right.  Also, try lighter fabrics to give it a softer more chic feminine edge like this one from ASOS

The Statement Shoe
Every girl probably has one but if you don't you really should..and more then one. The perfect shoe to take a boring mundane outfit to the next level. A hint of color, a mix of texture is sometimes just what  a girl needs to get notice. There is nothing wrong with having a shoe in every color. Just please do me a favor and don't go all color by numbers and start matching shoes to bags to shirts to makeup. Tack Central. Choose things that "go" not "match" Try these on for size at Endless

The White Tee
The white tee is your best friend believe it or not. It is always there for you whether you want to believe it or not. With a cardigan to the store with a vest, blazer, jewels it can be totally transformed. Tuck it into a high waisted short or pant for something simple and chic. The next time you are standing in front of your closet not knowing what to wear. Grab items #3, #8 and #10 and head out the door. Find this one at ASOS

The Wide Leg Pant
The trend might be skinny but tides are turning. The wide leg pant always comes in and out of the trends but I believe it to be a classic. The trick is getting the width right for your body. If you get it right it will elongate your leg and make you look thinner. Perfect with a sandal and a tank for a night out or blouse it up at the office. These are perfect and are from Net-A-Porter

Sequins!!
Every girl should have a lil pop in her closet and in life for that matter. When your feeling down or a lil randy pull out that sparkly top to brighten you up. Sequins are everywhere. Not just on reruns of The Golden Girls. In the last year, there has been a huge resurgence and you can find it pretty much on everything. If you are a lil shy try it in just a bag. For those of you who have no problem being bold try it in different, patterns, colors and cuts to stand out from the rest. Like these from Forever21

The Little Black Dress
Every girl has one and if you don't shame on you! That slinky little dress that hits your body in all the right places which is why you pull it out when you have that really hot date. Here is a little tip though ladies. That LBD (this one is from ASOS)can be working overtime and you don't even know it. Throw on a sweater or button down over it with a leather bomber and you get the look of a skirt in your favorite dress. Don't forget layering can be a girls best friend to get the most out of your wardrobe. Next time you're bored go home, throw on some Madonna and play!

The Best Butt Jeans
Ah denim!! Curse ye!! It can be daunting when it comes to jean shopping. Too big, too small, too expensive, stretch, no stretch..before you know it you are being asked to leave the store because you have spent an hour in the dressing room crying. Here is a tip. When it comes to denim DO NOT conform to trends. If boot cut is what works for you roll with it, if you can pull of skinny by all means, wide leg sure! Whatever your cut is, when you find that pair buy it in every color they have. Write down where you got it, when you got it so you know where to find more. About 71% of Americans bought jeans last year and I can bet that these Seven jeans from Net-A-Porter where a huge part of that. Perfect color, fade and cut

The Clutch
So what if it doesn't fit all your stuff, I don't want to hear it! It's dainty, cute, chic and you need to have one. Hell one you need to have twenty! There are so many options out there that your best bet is to actually spend a little more on your bag. It will last longer of course but what many people don't realize is how cheap their bags can actually look. If you are buying from a store without doors expect it to look like thats where you got it. These bags from Endless are reasonably priced and have a little oomph to them. Classic black texture, they will never go out of style so why not spend just a little more, especially for something that goes with everything. So cut down on the janitor keys, leave the makeup briefcase at home and make room for a chic clutch.

The Crown Jewels
Everyone has their everyday jewlery and their "fancy jewlery" but what most women need is that statement piece. That piece that makes them feel one of a kind. The piece or pieces that you break out when you are in a pinch. Feeling low, dont know what to wear. You break out you big bangles or, bling ring and suddenly it all comes together. It's like a secret weapon. I use it all the time. Don't o.d on them though. They are like a pinch hitter for when you have nothing new or nothing looks good. I love these here from TopShop

Craic Style Shampoo and Conditioner

I am mad for a good hair product especially when it comes to shampoo and conditioner I have tryed so many on so many differnent price budgets . Its so important to get these products right this I have learned , I style my hair mainly in waves and volume and having me hair so long your really need a good product or the hair wont hold its wave and will look Ratty at the ends .

So here is the low down of products that I like and don't like .

I have been using Frederic Fekkai now for the last 2 months and I have to say wow its amazing the best products I have ever used the product last for ages and ages because you only need a wee bit to do the hole head . My waves hold and the hair is soft and lush all night long . the only down fall is you have to wash it that bit more often because of the richness of the product it tends to leave the hair greasier faster .  But this is most far my fav product that I have ever used. Fekkai

Say yes to carrots , this product is amazing its last a long time its really inexpensive it leaves your hair feeling amazing I would most definitely give this product a thumbs up in all areas .  Its dry enought to keep the hair in shape for a few days with out washing again . And the bottle is super cute its also made with loads of veg so your gonna feel super healthy with Yesto Carrots and so is your hair .

Sally hershberger , I used these products twice and put them away under my sink to never be used again . hell no it may my hair look ratty and dry after washing I blow dryed then tryed to flat iron the hair it didn't take any wave at all , Awful is the word I have been searching for my hair was so limp all night and fluff like . I don't like this at all the bottle is cute that's what attracted me to it and its not that expensive , but it was bloody gross. DO NOT USE!! If you want nice hair sorry Purchase Sally Hershberger

Look the basics of a good hair starts with a good old shampoo and conditioner so find a product that you love and enjoy having great hair . Your hair is your number one accessories so treat it right and stay away from sally hersherberger .

Craic Testing Time: Collagen Lip Fillers Week 2

Craic Testing Time : I have been trying the Loreal Collagen Lip Filler now for over a week and I have to say it actually works , well I aint saying that its hughly different but my lips are in much better condition and look so much more kiss'able . I would defs give this product a thumbs up if you are looking for a great lip treatment not if your looking for the real housewifes of Beverly Hills trout pout . You can buy your very own here at Amazon

The Weird World of Celeb Beauty Tips!

Rare is not the word for these celeb beauty tips . Ketchup tin foil and femine wash . I dont think i would ever go that far for beauty . Or would I ?

KETCHUP
If you’ve been swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool and your blonde hair has turned a nasty shade of green, then try using ketchup before your shampoo.
Apply it to your hair and leave in for a couple of minutes before rinsing with warm water. The red tone will help to neutralise the green, returning your hair to its former golden glory.
Darren Fowler, international artistic director of Clipso, has worked with Juliette Binoche and Tori Amos.

TIN FOIL
To create wavy hair without curling tongs, use sheets of tin foil. Twist 15 sheets of tin foil into three-inch long wands — the thinner they are, the tighter the curl.
Wind sections of hair around the wands and twist the ends of the foil together to secure. Blast hot air from your hairdryer for three to five minutes all over your head to activate curls — the tin foil will insulate heat and stay hot for about five minutes.
Once cool, unravel your hair for bouncy, voluminous locks.
Ben Cooke, co-founder of Lockonego, was responsible for Victoria Beckham’s ‘Pob’ hairdo.

CONDENSED MILK
Felicity Kendal’s hair colourist Lea Harrison often applies condensed milk to her scalp when doing her bleach highlights. ‘This prevents irritation and soothes the scalp, which can get sore if it comes into contact with peroxide,’ says Harrison.
Lea Harrison, of the Michaeljohn salon in Mayfair

FABRIC SOFTENER SHEETS
Those fabric softener sheets from Bounce are brilliant for removing static from hair after a blow-dry. Gently glide them over the hair from root to tip — the result is beautiful, static-free tresses.
Darren Fowler.

CLING FILM
If you struggle to do your back when you’re applying fake tan, get a long piece of cling film, lay it on the floor and apply some of your fake tan mousse or cream to the middle of it.
Stand in front of the cling film, take an end of each strip in each hand and apply it to your back using the same motion you use to dry your back with a towel.

BABY SPOON
Make-up artist Kabuki always has a rubber-coated infant feeding spoon in his false eyelash kit. ‘It’s the perfect tool to tone down mascara,’ he says.
Hold the spoon under the lashes and use a clean brush to apply a non-oily make-up remover over the top of the lashes.
The remover and unwanted mascara runs into the spoon and away from the face, so the false lashes stay in place. The other eye make-up remains, too.

INGROWN HAIR REMOVER PADS
If you’ve made a mistake with your self-tan and have been left with patches, there are loads of remedies: from whitening toothpaste to cigarette ash.
According to tanning guru James Harknett, one of the most effective are Bliss Ingrown Hair Eliminating Peeling Pads. ‘At £27, they’re not cheap, but the salicylic acid and glycolic acid in them does the job,’ he says.
James Harknett has worked with Patsy Kensit and The X Factor’s Brian Friedman.

HAIR GEL AND SELLOTAPE
When make-up artist Kabuki did Lady Gaga’s face for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, he used lots of black glitter around her eyes. The glitter was fixed with alcohol-free hair gel and Sellotape was used to clean up any stray flecks of glitter from her face.

FEMININE WASH
Make-up artist Issidora cleanses her face and takes off her make-up using FemFresh.
‘It might sound odd, but this gynaecologically approved product does not contains soap,’ she says. ‘It lathers beautifully and, if you use it with a loofah, it not only removes every trace of make-up but also exfoliates, too.’
Issidora works with Grace Jones and Sharleen Spiteri.

E45 CREAM
When you don’t have any serum, mousse or shine spray, but your hair needs to go from parched and frizzy to glossy and glamorous, reach for an unscented body butter. Massage a pea-sized amount into the ends of the hair for instantly soft and hydrated locks. E45 works a treat.

PENCIL
One of make-up artist Ariane Poole’s best tips when it comes to the tricky matter of dealing with false eyelashes is to wrap them round a pencil before applying them.
They’ve often been sitting straight in their packaging for so long they’ve lost their curve, so they don’t fit the eyelid properly and can ping off.
Wrapping them round a pencil breaks their spine a bit, so they fit more closely to the lid.
