The Oscars is my favorite awards show and last night was just wonderful . the glitz the glamour the beauty .Here goes my list of who got it right and who so messed up .
My favorite was Gwyneth Paltrow she looked wonderful she was the star of the show she glowed she shined the hair the make-up the skin so fresh faced she was the winner of my Oscars .
Mila Kunis was total Hollywood glamour she wore enough make-up to stand out of the crowd with her hair pulled back so softly she wooowed the crowd . she just looked so good .
Natalie Portman always looks amazing and graceful the 2011 Oscars was no different she is so pretty her make-up artist just works with her natural beauty . her make-up was iridescent and defining . What can yee say this girl is beautiful .
Anne Hathaway was a wonderful host and a beautiful one at that . her hair looked so healthy and bouncy with the side parting and the soft curl she was femine beauty immortalised . her thick eyeliner and red lips was a modern twist for the retro Hollywood glamour she looked totally fab .
Reese Witherspoon now she looked very natural and her hair was beautiful very Ginger in Casino but it was so not for the Oscar , her make-up just did nothing for me she was not made up enough alwo she was glowing i believe she could of done allot better naughty naughty miss Witherspoon .
Jennifer Lawrence you looked beautiful so sun kissed so pretty allow i do believe you should of pulled your hair back and did a more Oscar doooo , but your make-up was so beautiful . I see star in your future .
what was Sandra Bullock thinking this year she looked so hard . she was way to white she needed some color on her face the red lips and just mascara was not becoming on this beauty . next year Sandra just pull out the bronzer .
Helena Bonhan Carter your not cool and that all I am gonna say on this subject !
Marisa Tomei why did you go to the Oscars in a beautiful dress and beautiful jewels and wonderful hair ... but then forgot to wear make-up ? what did you run late ? are you blind or are you suffering from madness ? your a beautiful looking woman with great style but really the next time you go to a award show try and even wear a bit of lip gloss .
I love Nicole Kidman but you should of done a darker eye or a brighter lip , you hair was pulled back with a half bang hanging down it just was not Oscar it just was not for you . it was so understated but in not a beautiful way , yes less is more but come on honey take a risk and even put on a wee bit of eye liner and wash your hair .
Jennifer Hudson gurl what the hell were you thinking with that hair it looks like a clip in that you would of worn the prom . come on you have lost all that weight and your skin is glowing your make-up was very natural , but that HAIR sweet lord just tie it up in a bun the next time around .
Jessica Biel is a Golden Goddess
Jessica Biel takes my breathe away! Aye! At the Vanity Fair Oscar Party the star dazzles in a Versace gold studded gown. Her body is out of this world, perhaps it is due to the Jimmy Kimmel Fitness Plan. The star was one of many to participate in a skit for the late night host entitled the Hottie Body Hump Club. Others included Scarlett Johansson, Kelly Ripa and Lindsay Lohan. Jessica Biel has kept a low profile since last years remake of A-Team but will be appearing in the star studded movie New Years Eve. A follow up if you will to Valentine's Day. NYE also stars, Halle Berry, Katherine Heigel, Michelle Pheiffer, Zac Efron, Lea Michele and Robert Deniro. Check out the Kimmel skit below
Madonna's Fashion Fail
Madonna attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party with daughter Lourdes last night in Hollywood. In a unitard and lace slip it is very reminscent of the dress the Dolce & Gabbana dress that Britney Spears wore to the 2010 Grammy's. This is clearly a desperate attempt to stay relevant in a world where Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Britney Spears reign supreme. While upon first look its not actually that bad, you just have to think why?? Not to mention she attended with her daughter. How embarassing! Please put out some new club banging material like the days of Confessions on a Dance Floor days and put some clothes on! X

It doesn't matter if you love her...or capitol H.E.R!! Everyone will be talking about Lady Gaga's new video for the lead single "Born This Way" off the album of the same name. Premiering this morning with an acoustic video still to be released later today the mini movie has Gaga dancing hard and fierce with choreography from Laurie Ann Gibson. Directed by Nick Knight the vid is full with heavy imagery and light on the hautre couture. Despite wearing big names like Alexander McQueen in past videos like "Bad Romance" this video was light on the fashion fair and heavy on her message. With refrences to hell, guns shooting marajuana, symbols, the oppresive chains that bind her and her little monsters, the birth of evil and new races and yes kids...unicorns you have to admit she has done it again. The video is a direct message to her fans to let go and be free which she tells them every night on stage. The video is pretty spectacular and oddly beautiful at the same time. It does exactly what Lady Gaga wants us to do; talk, think and listen. Hopefully with this song being number one in fourteen countries, it will make the world think about how the LGBT community is treated. It is amazing how one 23 year old pop singer is changing the world when the leaders of the world are consistantly failing us. So thank you Gaga for another dance anthem and for something for us to believe in. Watch the "Born This Way" video below!

If you watched the Academy Awards last night, which approximately 37 million of you did, you probably noticed the zillion commericals for JC Penney. I was quite suprised to see how chic some of the pieces were. Teaming up with People Magazine: Style Watch the commercials showed us some of the best looks for Spring from designers Allen B, Mango and I Heart Ronson. Coming in ranges from $20-$50 I think that there will be a huge spike in sales not to mention they have redeemed their name. Anne Hathaway's Many Oscar Looks

No matter what you thought of Anne Hathaway and James Franco's hosting ability there was no denying that they both looked superb. Most of all Anne Hathaway who had a slew of costume changes each time looking divine. From a custom Lanvin tuxedo with the hottest sequined shoes ever, to a shiny blue Armani Prive the star turned it out. She also wore a Viviene Westwood ball gown and opened the show in a heavily embellished Givenchy Haute Couture gown. Working with stylist Rachel Zoe for years now the star always looks polished, poised and fashion forward. Hathaway is one of the biggest stars and fashion icons of our decade. Now I know that I am going to get a load of slack from my friend Paul but I believe that she could be this decades answer to Julia Roberts. With Love and Other Drugs being released tomorrow on DVD, Rio being released next week and Emma which is in post production and will be released later this year the star shows no signs of slowing down. She will begin filming on Batman: The Dark Knight Rises playing infamous Selena Kyle/Catwoman. The Dark Knight starts filming in May and rolls in to theatres July of 2012
Craic Carpet Review: 2011 Academy Awards!
Ahhhh the Academy Awards...the biggest and gayest night of the year! Watching from our official Craic Style Oscar Party we had a wonderful time gabbing all night about the fabulous ladies of the night! The worst part about this years Oscars no major disasters! I mean what fun is it if everyone looks good? The stars turned it out last night in nude and blush tones, dramatic reds and sequins galore.
Nude Ladies: I think the Botox has gone to Nicole Kidman's brain seeing as she chose this awful and distracting Dior dress. Better luck next year! Michelle Williams stuck to her usual schtick opting for a demure Chanel dress which looked lovely on her. Hailee Seinfeld was adorable in a custom made Marchesa dress that she helped design herself. The 14 year old nominee looked chic and age appropriate. Mandy Moore has come a long way from "missing you like candy" The star dazzled in a sequined and tulle Monique Luhllier gown that showed of her flawless figure. Halle Berry ditched the black for the night and wore a heavily embellished Marchesa gown that on television looked gorgeous but in photos I found it made her look very short. She totally should have chosen the Ellie Saab dress I picked out for her. Last but not least is Gwyneth Paltrow who shined in a metallic Calvin Klein dress and finished her look off with earrings, a brooch and ring from Louis Vuitton. Best accsories of the night! If only she was as confident in her singing as her style!
Basic Black: Okay, i love feathers but I would really like to see them done in a new way on the carpet. Hilary Swank tried to one up Black Swan wearing a feathered Gucci gown that just didnt work for me. I have seen it too many times before. Helen Miren is every woman and mans fantasy. Who does not want to look like that when they get older? Talk about aging gracefully. The star showed off her bombshell figure in a Viviene Westwood creation! Move over Courtney Cox there is a new cougar on the block! Speaking of, Busy Phillips attended the award show in a gorgeous black gown which she accesorized with gold and emerald chandellier earrings. She attended with her best friend Michelle Williams; how cute is it that they are still friends after being on Dawson's Creek all those years ago??! Finally Reese Witherspoon flashed that cheesy American Sweetheart smile in a simple Georgio Armani gown.
For Colored Girls: Adding a splash of color to the carpet were ladies like Cate Blanchet who is my best dressed of the night in a stunning Givenchy Haute Couture gown that took my breathe away! Also my best dressed of the night goes to Mila Kunis who looked divine in my favorite red carpet designer of the moment Elie Saab. She looked romantic, elegant and sexy! Redeeming herself from the Golden Globes was Scarlet Johansson in a purple lace gown which was a vast improvement. Thank you baby Jesus! Almost ready to pop Best Actress Winner Natalie Portman wore a purple Rodarte dress that looked lovely. Rodarte designed the costumes for Black Swan so perhaps she wore the designer as a good luck charm. Her Tiffany & Co. jewels get runners up for best accesories of the night. Finally the usually chic Amy Adams dissapointed in a blue sequin L'Wren Scott dress that she paired with distracting emerald jewels. Le sigh..
Ladies In Red: I was quite suprised to see how many of the major stars chose red gowns this year but most of them looked like heaven! Starting off was Jennifer Lawrence who yawwnnn bored me in a simple Calvin Klein dress and minimal jewlery. Anne Hatthaway made a dramtic entrance in Valentino who she walked the red carpet with. Sandra Bullock looked ravishing in a Vera Wang gown with stunning bow detail in the back. Quite a departure from what the star usually wears and I will take it!! Finally Jennifer Hudson rounds up the ladies in red with an Alterier Versace gown that was too complicated and fit acwardly in the bust. I have4 seen better breasts from Purdue.I know you got that " I did it, I did it, I did it" body but you gotta know how to dress it honey!

Jennifer Lawrence Copies Scarlett Johansson
Jennifer Lawrence looks red hot on the red carpet at the 2011 Academy Awards but I can't help to be reminded of Scarlett Johannson's dress at teh 2006 Golden Globes. On a night withs such glitz and glam I wish that Jennifer would have gone a bit more dramatic instead of opting for this simple Calvin Klein gown. I mean after all she was nominated and who knows when or if that opportunity will ever come again! Not to mention she kind of looks like Stephanie Pratt in this ensemble. Tsk Tsk
Sex and the City Razzie's Big Winners!!
That's right ladies jump for joy! Celebration is in order! Last night the big winners of The Razzies were the ladies of Sex and the City 2. The movie took home the awards for Worst Actress, Worst Cast and Worst Sequel. Mazel! There has been a lot of speculation about a third film being made in the recent weeks with talks of a prequel being made from the book The Carrie Diaries. I don't think we can pretend to go back," she said. "It's creating two histories. It's like, 'Oh I didn't know that about Carrie Bradshaw said Sarah Jessica Parker. However, the four actresses have both stated that they would love to do a third movie because there are more stories to tell. Hopefully those stories don't have anything to do with menopause and "working on the sparkle" Aubi Dabi Doo!!!
Natalie Portman is Yellow Dress Lovely!
Natalie Portman looks gorgeous at the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards where she is nominated and will most likely take home the award for Best Actress. In a lacy baby bump bearing Givenchy dress she has looked better then she has in quite some time. She accesorized her delicate dress with a Stella McCartney clutch and a Cartier ring. I love to see a pop of unexpected color on the carpet. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come at tomorrow's Oscars!

The Kardashian clan (sans Khloe) sparkled last night at the QVC Red Carpet party last night in Hollywood. I have to say I love it when Kim Kardashian wears pants!! She looks so chic! The proportions, the styling everything is working in her favor. She looks cool, understated, comfortable and still incredibly sexy. While Kourtney Kardashian looks just as chic and sophisticated, it was Kim that really knocked my socks off. So much so I just had to go and get you the look for less!

The weekend is here and it is time to start thinking about what to wear. With it being just a wee bit nippy here in gloomy ol New York think about your favorite knits. You already love them, why not wear them out? You don't just have to wear them to the office or running errands anymore. Think of a different way of interperting them. Pair them with bold accesories, skinny jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts, killer pumps and you are good to go. Also look for knits that have some depth to them. Fraying, studs, bold patterns and interesting weaving all make for fabulous pieces! I especially love the idea of the last look a sweater over the dress, it's very Rachel Bilson. Okay. I torn about this look. I love it and I hate it. I think it is mostly because of Vanessa Hudgens. Something about her just irritates me. If i look at the Julien Macdonald dress without her face, I'm all Jadore! but as soon as I see that pouty sexy face I run to my garbage can. I appreciate that she stepped out of her mini cocktail dress comfort zone and tried something a little more sophisticated but the red bag and blue heels just botch it up. A simple matching bag and clutch would have been just fine. I know that you are going for thatBlake Lively factor and trying to be ecclectic but it's just not working. Sorry! Craic Off! Mila Kunis vs. Hayden Panettiere
Double take!! Mila Kunis and Hayden Panettiere both step out this week in very similar ensembles. Classic combo of a red strapless dress (which btw is replacing the LBD this season) and a black blazer but both put their own little twist on it. Kunis attened the Vanity Fair Honors Party in Cartier jewlery and Brian Atwood maniac pumps; opting to keep her look simple and chic. Panettiere attended a Dior dinner in of course Dior and Christian Louboutin, the Scream 4 actress opted to jazz it up a bit with a braid and some statement shoes. I personally think that it is a tie which is a first for me, I can usally spot a clear winner and loser. They both look fabulous! What do you think!?
