Lady Gaga made what else, besides a grand entrance at last nights CFDA Awards, where she took home the award for Fashion Icon. Wearing a corseted Thierry Mugler gown over a sheer body suit and 12" platforms the star gave some fierce poses and made me fall in love with her all over again. The star was honored by Anna Wintour and Gaga had quite the tale to tell about Anna when she accepted the award saying "I have several 'Annas' on my phone," the star explained, so Gaga assumed it was her friend Anna Trevelyan, Nicola Formichetti's assistant. Texting back "Yes, bitch, we did it!", only to discover it was none other than US Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Anna's response..."That's lovely" Gaga partied it up afterwards ditching her dress and platforms and dancing all night (see above) If you haven't bought LG's platinum "Born This Way" then you are a fool. So while helping a friend shop for some fabulous summer clothes I came across something I have always known that most plus size clothing...sucks. Most places think that a boxy top with a little print on it constitutes sexy and current. While most major chains like Forever 21 and H&M  have finally jumped on the ban waggon and started carrying plus sizes there is still a void in the market. Which is so dissapointing, with some of todays biggest and brightest stars like Amber Riley, Queen Latifah, Crystan Renn and Nene Leakes at the forefront there should be more options. My favorite girl Leighton Meester hits the rec carpet for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards for which she was nominated for best villain for her work in The Roommate. Unfortunately she lost out to Tom Felton for his work in Harry Potter. If you ask me she was robbed! Have you seen The Roommate? All kinds of cray cray. However, losing has never looked this good. Leighton chose a Balmain metallic mini and Pierre Hardy strappy sandals. Gorgeous! Maybe she can catch a nomination next year for her work in Monte Carlo, with Selena Gomez and fellow Gossip Girl Katie Cassidy, and the romantic comedy The Oranges. This is just merely a highlight at some of the cutest ones out there and also an advisory on how to wear a denim jacket. First off never wear denim on denim. This isn't a rap video from 1992. So let's get that straight. If you do wear or feel the urge to do so at least break up the colors, don't wear a denim suit..ugh I cringe at the thought. Denim jackets don't have to be so casual, you can pair it with some fancier pieces to create a one of a kind look. Immediately I am drawn to the colors in this show which makes me want to love it...however this whole sneaker pump thing..I just cant get behind although this is one of the better ones that I have seen. The Jeffrey Cambell Munroe pump is suede with leather lining and sits tall at 5.5" with a 1.5" platform and is available at Lori's Shoes for $140.00. Usually I know right away whether I like something or not but I can't figure this one out. I am leaving it up to you guys! What do you think? Great Craic? or Crap? X

There really is no stopping Jessica Simpson and her budding empire and it seems that she is bringing little sister Ashlee Simpson into the mix. Jessica has tapped Ashlee to add a tween line to the collection, telling WWD "Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand. I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens,” While Ashlee added “My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion,” The line will launch later this year and include footwear and outerwear.
