Craic Carpet Review: Screen Actors Guild

So the award season raged on last night with everyone's least favorite, The Screen Actor Guild Awards.... the SAG's...are a drag, which is why there was such an A-List celeb shortage. The stars that were there certainly didn't dissapoint. There were no major I am in love moments for me but there were plenty of what was she thinking moments..let's start there. Christina Hendricks is a beautiful woman and usually dresses so beautiful on the red carpet especially for her figure (take not Christina Aguilera) but last night in in L'Wren Scott this was not the case. She looked like a tranny lounging in her robe backstage. The entire look was just too harsh like my comments. Angie Harmon...why you were there? I don't even know and why you would show up in a dress that has been done to death a million times is even more puzzling. We have versions of this Monique Lhuillier dress on countless celebs like Sarah Jessica Parker, Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz  and done much better might I add. Not to mention, I feel like she is just too old for this gown. It feels like it belongs on someone much younger. Nicole Kidman wore a stunning black lace Nina Ricci dress with a gorgeous lace open back but mucked it up with a distracting necklace and leopard shoes. Now I am not trying to be picky but those two things ruined what could have been a Best Dressed nominee. At the Globes too she had a problem with her accesories. Pull it together girl! Although, on a side note, I have to say that botox is reallllly working for her. Now time for the Best Dressed! Mila Kunis looked cool and confident in Alexander McQueen,  even though she knew she would be losing to Melissa Leo. Amy Adams looked like a statue herself in Herve Leroux. The dress really showed off her toned body which was her best accesory opting just for a cocktail ring and dangly earrings. She looked so good it distracted people from the ackward speech co-star Mark Wahlberg gave while on stage with her. Glee star Diana Argon looked so pretty in a navy blue vintage Chanel. She looked elegant and youthful. I love that she has a sweet style of her own and sticks with it. She doesn't need to resort to wild red carpet antics for attention. Tina Fey finally got it right! The funny lady wore a red lace Oscar De La Renta dress off set by some major earrings. Best jewlery of the night! All in all kind of a snooze of a red carpet as well as the show itself. As the nude trend seems to continue I hope that the Oscar brings us some major color and sparkle. Get ready! The Academy Awards air on February 27th
